The programmer is a jdm powered by serial port no external power needed and runs with icprog software which you can download here. This simple but powerful programmer can also flash the very popular 12f629, and 16f628 series chips popular with the Nintendo wii and a whole lot more chips are supported. This is a great little programmer for the beginner and is easy to use, as you can see by the above I manufacture my own pcb,s so this allows me to keep the cost of these programmers low.
